Som eneste veistrekning i Svolvær, er strekninga mellom «perleporten»/innstadvika og kirkegården, uten autovern eller annet skille mellom fortau og E10. Mange barn bor nå i området, og vil være nødt til å benytte fortauet som skolevei langs europaveien.
