Byåsveien mellom Ila og John Skaarvolds vei har vært preget av manglende brøyting hele vinteren. Det er svært vanskelig å ferdes med sykkel her. Dette vedvarer vanligvis i lange perioder selv om det er over 24 timer etter siste snøfall. Med den sykkelsatsingen Trondheim skal ha, er dette skuffende.
