De store blokkene som forhindrer biltrafikk er fjernet i forbindelse med bygging av vei til det nye kloakkanlegget. Dette gjør at biler kjører på Malvikstien, og det har ført til nestenulykker, fordi gående ikke hører blant annet el-biler. Ferdes mye barn her, så det er uholdbart og lite sikkert for alle fotgjengere.
