Grøftene vest for Sjøstjerna Barnehage, langs Sjøgata, 8445 Melbu er overgrodde med store bl.a.Trømsøpalmer. Henger inn i vegbanen. Dette medfører stor risiko for alle som ferdes i dette området. Vegen er uoversiktelig og fare for uhell er stor. Grøftene må slås med kommunal maskin da det ikke er mulig med privat kantklipper/ "humle".
