Gjøstivegen (Lillehammer) har gatebelysning i begynnelsen av vegen, men mangler gatelykter et langt strekk fra der Gjøstivegen deler seg og sørover. Gjøstivegens sørvestre (nedre) del har få hus tett inntil vegen, som kan gi lys. I høsthalvåret og natterstid for øvrig er det her bekmørkt! Det har i løpet av vinteren vært to alvorlige nesten-ulykker med barn og bil. Nabolaget ønsker seg lys!
