Det tenner vann fra grøft og ut i veibane. Vannet følger vei flere meter før det renner tilbake til grøft og i kum. Vanner kommer mest sannsynlig fra bekk, da det er vått uavhengig av nedbør. Det ligger mye vann i hjulspor, også om vinteren
