Ved regnfall samles det opp store mengder vann på nordsiden av fartshumpen rett sør for Gjerpen prestegård. Ved kraftig regnfall er store deler av vegbanen dekket av vann og fotgjengere, herunder skolebarn må gå midt i vegbanen for å komme seg noenlunde tørrskodd over. Om vinteren samler det seg is på samme sted.
