Asfaltdekket er slitt tvers gjennom. Mer asfalt og underdekke skrus opp av biler og lastebiler som bruker gata som vendeplass. Problemet akselererer: områdene uten asfalt blir stadig større. Grus og sand fra underlaget havner inn på tomtene langs veien.
