Mange fortauer feies ikke for kvist og greiner. Handikappscooters har meget små styrehjul og får utslag mot samme side der et hjul kjør over en indring. Dermed kan hele kjøretøyet krenge ut mot en fortauskant og velte. Hodeskader kan medføre invaliditet og kommunen kan saksøkes, og det er billigere å feie.
